Wolf grilled me some fantastic buffalo burgers yesterday for my birthday dinner yesterday. Yum!
Then I spent the evening enjoying myself with calligraphy, Project Runway (a challenge I enjoyed watching), and talking to Wolf. Birthdays in August, especially ones that fall in the middle of the week, just tend to be low-key that way.
Please help me pick out the right camera/lens(es)
Among my fantastic prizes for getting older (or is that the special compensation package?) I find I need to ask Digital SLR camera enthusiasts what they like/don't like about their cameras and lenses. Okay, I need much more help on lenses. I normally take pictures of either people or people in natural settings like mountains or forests. I like printing my pictures out up to 8 x 10 size, and want them to remain crisp.
I'm not a big user of the motion-capture sports pictures (though I can imagine taking some of these in the dojo) nor of the extreme close-up. The biggest difficulty I have is taking shots of my all-black dog, who tends to show up as a black blob except for her tongue.
